Burnout syndrome among workers in selected area of social work

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá syndromem vyhoření u pracovníků ve vybraných organizacích v oblasti sociální práce, které poskytují sociální služby osobní asistence a terénní odlehčovací služby. Cílem práce je identifikace míry syndromu vyhoření, určení primárních faktorů jeho vzniku a návrh preventivních opatření. V metodologické části se práce věnuje charakteristice výzkumných respondentů a struktuře dotazníkového šetření, kterou tvoří část vlastního dotazníku a dotazníku Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Práce pokračuje charakteristikou jednotlivých sociálních služeb. Další část práce se zaměřuje na propojení získaných dat a teoretických okruhů syndromu vyhoření, jimiž jsou faktory ovlivňující jeho vznik, příznaky, jednotlivé fáze vývoje syndromu vyhoření, diagnostické metody a způsoby prevence. Následně jsou zpracována data, která byla získána z jednotlivých odpovědí dotazníků MBI. Z těchto dat vyplývá, že 33 z 93 respondentů vykazuje vyhoření alespoň v jedné ze subškál tohoto dotazníku. Dílčí data jsou využita k vyhodnocení situace, zjištění hlavních faktorů ovlivňující vznik syndromu vyhoření a představení konkrétních osobních preventivních opatření i opatření ze strany zaměstnavatelů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the burnout syndrome among workers in selected organizations in the area of social work, which provide social services of personal assistance and respite care. The aim of the work is to identify the level of burnout syndrome, to determine its primary factors and to proposal some preventive measures. The methodological part of the work deals with the characteristics of research participants and the structure of the questionnaire survey, which is part of the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). The work continues with the characteristics of individual social services. The next part of the work focuses on the connection of the obtained data and the theoretical areas of the burnout syndrome which are the factors influencing its onset, the symptoms, the various stages of the development of the burnout syndrome, diagnostic methods and the methods of prevention. Subsequently, the data obtained from the individual answers of the MBI questionnaires are processed. These data show that 33 out of 93 research participants have burnout syndrome in at least one of the sub-scales of this questionnaire. Partial data are used to evaluate the situation, to identify the main factors influencing the onset of burnout and to introduce the specific personal preventive measures and measures by employers.
