The usage of repo trades within eurozone

Abstract:

This bachelor work focuses on repo businesses and their utilization before and during the financial crisis. Based on the findings from the available sources we take a closer look at the problems of repo businesses, their utilization and we introduce different types of repo businesses and their advantages and disadvatages. Next we familiarize with the monetary policy, its impact, strategy and also its tools. In the next part we acquaint with the utilization of repo businesses within the Slovak Republic where we compare the utilization before the crisis and during the crisis. In the third part we focus on the utilization of repo businesses within the Euro-zone before and during the crisis which is also an aim of this bachelor work.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca je zameraná na repo obchody, ich využívanie pred finančnou krízou a počas krízy. Na základe zistení z dostupných zdrojov približuje problematiku repo obchodov ako významného nástroja väčšiny centrálnych bánk, ich využitie a druhy a kladné a záporné stránky repo obchodov. Zameriava sa na menovú politiku, jej pôsobenie, stratégiu a tiež jej nástroje. Práca sa zaoberá využitím repo obchodov v rámci SR, kde porovnáva ich využitie pred krízou a počas krízy a v závere sa venuje využitiu repo obchodov v rámci eurozóny pred a počas krízy, čo je aj cieľom bakalárskej práce.
