Loneliness From The Client's Point Of View In Residential Social Services For Seniors

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá prožíváním osamělosti u klientů pobytových sociálních služeb pro seniory, a to z perspektivy klienta. Cílem práce je porozumět prožívání osamělosti u této cílové skupiny, analyzovat souvislosti a zmapovat strategie, které klienti pobytových sociálních služeb v boji proti osamělosti využívají. V teoretické části jsou popsány pojmy jako osamělost, samota, pandemie COVID-19, ekologická perspektiva, senior, klient, domovy pro seniory a sociální práce v domovech pro seniory. Na teoretickou část navazuje výzkumné šetření prožívání osamělosti u klientů v pobytových sociálních službách pro seniory, podmínek a souvislostí, za kterých se objevují. Na základě výzkumu byla popsána nově vzniklá teorie o prožívání osamělosti klienty těchto sociálních služeb.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the experience of loneliness in clients of residential social services for the elderly, from the perspective of the client. The aim of the thesis is to understand the experience of loneliness in this target group, to analyse the context and to map the strategies used by clients of residential social services to overcome loneliness. In the theoretical part, concepts such as loneliness, solitude, COVID-19 pandemic, ecological perspective, elderly, client, homes for the elderly and social work in homes for the elderly are described. The theoretical part is followed by a research investigation of the experience of loneliness among clients in residential social services for the elderly, the conditions and contexts in which they occur. Based on the research, an emerging theory of the experience of loneliness by clients of these social services is described.
