Práce se věnuje analýze literární a mecenášské činnosti Lady Mary Sidney Herbert, hraběnky z Pembroke. V první části představuje alžbětinskou literární kulturu a definuje pozici, kterou v jejím rámci zastávaly ženy. This thesis deals with the analysis of Lady Mary Sidney Herbert's, Countess of Pembroke, literary and patronage work. The first part of the thesis introduces Elizabethan literary culture and defines the role of women in it.
