Art of the cast iron in Blansko

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce popisuje problematiku, která se týká umělecké litiny na Blanensku a rozvoje jejího odkazu v současnosti. Je koncipována na čtyři části. V první části je popisována historie železářství a výroby litiny na Blanensku. Zmíněny jsou i stěžejní osobnosti, které ovlivnily nejvíce vývoj umělecké litiny a železářství v dané oblasti. Druhá část práce zpracovává činnost Muzea Blansko a města Blansko, v oblasti šíření odkazu umělecké litiny na Blanensku mezi současné obyvatele města. Třetí část zaměřuje pozornost na výukové programy muzea a jejich analýzu. Práce navrhuje různé způsoby řešení problémů, které vznikají špatnou činností instituce muzea i města. Navrhnuta a rozebrána je také nová alternativa výukového programu. Čtvrtá částí práce je samotný závěr, kde je celá práce i s výzkumem zhodnocena.

Abstract:

This master’s thesis describes the issue concerning artistic cast iron in the Blansko district and development her link in these time. The thesis comprises of four parts. The first part describes history of ironmongery and cast iron manufacture in Blansko. The key personalities who influenced the development of artistic cast iron industry in the area the most are also mentioned here. The second part covers the activities of Museum Blansko and the town Blansko concerning dissemination of the legacy of artistic cast iron in Blanensko among the current city residents. The third part is focusing on educational programs of the museum and on analysis of the programs. The thesis suggests various ways to solve problems that arise from poor activity of the museum and town. A new alternative for a learning program is designed and analysed as well. The fourth part is the very end, where all the work and research is evaluated.
