Abstract:
V důsledku polarizace prostoru máme dva protipóly, jádro a periferii. Tento jev je předmětem mnoha teorií regionálního rozvoje a mnoha praktických výzkumů. Na začátku se celý výzkum zabýval rozvojem regionů, který probíhal nerovnoměrně, poté se teoretický i praktický výzkum zaměřil na nově zavedené pojmy, kterými jsou jádro, periferie a později jsou doplněny pojmy "semiperiferie" a "marginalita".
