The Importance of Supervision for Employees Working in Social Services

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá supervizí z perspektivy supervidovaných. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda pracovníci vybraných institucí vnímají supervizi jako přínosnou a jako nástroj mající vliv na kvalitu jejich práce. V teoretické části byla provedena literární rešerše českých i zahraničních zdrojů, díky které poskytuje informace o oblasti sociálních služeb a následně se věnuje hlavnímu tématu práce, kterým je supervize. Na teorii plynule navazuje část praktická, která se soustředí již na samotný výzkum. Provedením kvalitativního výzkumu prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů byla získána data a ta následně zpracovaná pomocí metody otevřeného kódování. Praktická část přináší odpovědi na hlavní í dílčí výzkumné otázky a také zjištění, která mohou sloužit jako prostředek ke zkvalitnění supervize ve vybraných organizacích.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on supervision from the perspective of the supervisees. The aim of the thesis is to ascertain whether employees in selected institutions perceive supervision as beneficial and as a tool influencing the quality of their work. Initially, a literature review of both Czech and international sources was conducted, providing information on the field of social services. Subsequently, the theoretical part addresses the main topic of the thesis, which is supervision. The practical part seamlessly follows the theory and concentrates on the actual research. Through the implementation of qualitative research through semi-structured interviews, data was acquired and subsequently processed using the method of open coding. The practical part delivers answers to the main and subsidiary research questions, as well as findings that can be helpful in selected organizations.
