The use of psychology knowledge by medical personnel in hospital practice from the client´s perspective

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je využívání znalostí psychologie v nemocniční praxi zdravotnickým personálem z pohledu klientky. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část zahrnující empirický výzkum. Teoretická část obsahuje obecné poznatky psychologie, dále se věnuje zdravotnické psychologii ve spojitosti se znalostmi a dovednostmi zdravotnického personálu v oblasti komunikace a vzájemného vztahu s klienty a popisuje také psychologickou problematiku žen v období šestinedělí. V praktické části zkoumáme pomocí dotazníkového šetření, jak nelékařský zdravotnický personál podporuje klientky v období šestinedělí, v jaké míře využívá své schopnosti efektivně komunikovat a zda dodržuje zásady profesionálního chování a přístup v péči o ženu v šestinedělí.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the use of psychology knowledge by medical personnel in hospital practice from the client´s perspective. This work is divided into theoretical and practical part including an empirical research. Theoretical part includes general psychology and further describes medical psychology in connection to knowledge and skills of medical staff in area of communication and mutual relationships with clients. This piece of paper also describes the period of puerperium and psychology issues that women must face during this time. In practical part, a survey in the form of questionnaire is used to investigate how a non-medical personnel supports clients within the period of puerperium. Furthermore, the survey also examines the extent of effective communication of non-medical staff and whether non-medical staff complies with the principles of professional behaviour and the approach to the care of women in the period of puerperium.
