Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá výzkumným problémem spojeným s traumatickým prožíváním porodu u žen a jeho možnou spojitostí s předchozími traumaty z minulosti. Cílem práce bylo analyzovat a popsat zkušenosti žen, které vnímaly porod jako traumatický, a zhodnotit vliv prostředí porodnice, zdravotního personálu a dalších faktorů na tuto zkušenost. Ve výzkumné části je interpretativní fenomenologická analýza pěti polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s vybranými respondentkami, které vnímaly svůj porod jako traumatický anebo se u nich po porodu vyskytovaly příznaky poporodní deprese, nebo posttraumatické stresové poruchy. Výsledky ukazují, že u všech žen, které prožily traumatický porod, existovala určitá spojitost mezi jejich prožíváním u porodu a jejich minulostí, dětstvím. Každá z nich u porodu odžívala a řešila jiné téma. I přesto, že je vnímání u porodu tak silně subjektivní záležitostí, našla se i témata, která byla společná napříč všemi rozhovory např. přenosová retraumatizace, identifikace s otci, problémy s autoritami a chování personálu. Za nejvíce traumatické u porodu označovaly respondentky chování zdravotního personálu, narušení intimity a důvěry, separaci od partnera v průběhu porodu, separaci od dítěte po porodu, prožívanou bolest u porodu a a také velká poporodní poranění. Všechny ženy vyjádřily potřebu respektujícího a empatického přístupu ze strany zdravotního personálu, ale jen málo z nich získalo psychologickou péči po porodu. Závěry této práce poukazují na důležitost poskytování podpory a pochopení v prenatální, perinatálním a postnatálním období, zejména ze strany zdravotního personálu, a zdůrazňují nutnost dalšího výzkumu v této oblasti.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis addresses a research problem related to women's traumatic experiences of childbirth and its possible association with past traumas. The thesis aimed to analyse and describe the experiences of women who perceived childbirth as traumatic and to evaluate the influence of the maternity hospital environment, medical staff and other factors on this experience. The research part is an interpretative phenomenological analysis of five semi-structured interviews with selected respondents who perceived their birth as traumatic and/or experienced symptoms of postpartum depression or post-traumatic stress disorder. The results show that for all the women who experienced traumatic childbirth, there was some connection between their experiences during childbirth and their past childhood. Each of them had experienced and dealt with a different issue while giving birth. Despite perceptions at birth being such a highly subjective matter, some themes were common across all interviews e.g. transference retraumatisation, identification with fathers, issues with authority figures and staff behaviour. The most traumatic aspects of childbirth were identified by respondents as being the behaviour of medical staff, the breakdown of intimacy and trust, separation from their partner during labour, separation from the baby after birth, experiencing pain in labour and also major postnatal injuries. All women expressed a need for respectful and empathetic treatment by health care staff, but few received psychological care after delivery. The findings of this study highlight the importance of providing support and understanding in the prenatal, perinatal and postnatal periods, particularly from health professionals, and emphasise the need for further research in this area.
