The Risk Profile of the Bank - Main Risks and Possibilities of their Elimination

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce má název "Rizikový profil banky" a zabývá se problematikou bankovních rizik a jejich vlivu na banku. Banka je vystavena vlivu celé řadě rizik, které je nutné identifikovat, řídit a eliminovat negativní dopady do hospodaření a stability banky. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na hlavní druhy rizik, které banku ohrožují, zvláště pak na úvěrové riziko a možnosti jeho eliminace. Praktická část pojednává o řízení úvěrového rizika v České spořitelně. Cílem diplomové práce je analýza bankovních rizik se zaměřením na úvěrové riziko. Charakteristika řízení úvěrového rizika a následně návrh alternativ jeho eliminace. Na základě popisu bezpečnostních mechanismů a vnitřního řídícího a kontrolního systému uplatňovaného v České spořitelně můžeme považovat banku ve svém podnikání spíše za konzervativní vůči riziku a stabilní ve své pozici na českém trhu.

Abstract:

This diploma work is titled as "The risk profile of the bank" and deals with the issue of banking risks and their impact on the bank. The bank is exposed to whole series of risks that need to identify, manage and eliminate the negative impact to the economy and stability of the bank. This thesis focuses on the main types of risks that threaten the bank, especially for credit risk and the possibility of elimination. Practical part focuses on credit risk management in the bank Česká spořitelna. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of bank risk, focusing on credit risk. Characteristics of the management of credit risks and the proposal to eliminate alternatives. Based on the description of security mechanisms and internal control system applied in the Česká spořitelna can be considered a bank in their business rather conservative to risk and stable in its position on the Czech market.
