Changes in the landscape after uranium mining and the possibilities of its revitalization

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Změny v krajině po těžbě uranu a možnosti její revitalizace má za cíl informovat širokou veřejnost o vlivu těžby uranu a následných rekultivací na ekologickou stabilitu území. Hlavním záměrem teoretické části bylo vytvoření literární rešerše k problematice revitalizace krajiny po těžbě uranu. V praktické části jsem posoudil v oblasti ložiska Olší vliv rekultivace odvalů na ekologickou stabilitu území prostřednictvím metodiky Míchala a Miklóse. Na základě výpočtů lze rekultivaci označit za úspěšnou z důvodu zvýšení ekologické stability. Dále došlo k posouzení vhodnosti použitých izolačních prvků při rekultivaci na odkališti K I metodou radiometrických měření. Měření prokázala vhodnost použitých těsnících prvků. Posledním cílem bylo zhodnocení ekologické stability odkaliště K II prostřednictvím fytocenologických snímků provedených na uložených kalech. Na základě provedeného pozorování jsem zjistil převažující monokultury Calamagrostis epigejos.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis called Changes in the landscape after uranium mining and the possibilities of its revitalization aims to inform the general public about the impact of uranium mining and subsequent reclamation on the ecological stability of the area. The main purpose of the theoretical part was to perform literary research on the topic of the revitalization of the landscape after uranium mining. In the practical part, I assessed in mining deposit Olší impact reclamation of dumps on the coefficient of ecological stability based on the methodology of Míchal and Miklós. On the basis of calculations, reclamation can be described as successful due to the increased ecological stability of the area. Furthermore, I assessed the use of insulating elements in reclamation at the sludge lagoon K I using the method of radiometric measurements. Measurements showed the suitability of insulation. The last goal was to evaluate the ecological stability of the sludge lagoon K II through phytocenological images taken on stored sludges. Based on the observations made, I found the prevalent monoculture Calamagrostis epigejos.
