The case management method in dealing with life situation of alcohol addicts

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce se zabývá tématem: Metoda case management při řešení životní situace osob závislých na alkoholu. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak zapojení pracovníci nahlížejí na tuto metodu při řešení životní situace osob závislých na alkoholu. Dílčími cíli chci zjistit, v jakých situacích pracovníci metodu volí, kdo by měl být case manažerem a jaké vnímají přínosy či limity metody case management. Teoretická část se zabývá vysvětlením pojmu závislost z hlediska sociální patologie, vymezení životní situace těchto osob, jaký je systém péče a představením metody case management. Empirická část představuje výsledky výzkumu, které reflektují náhled zapojených pracovníků, a to pomocí šesti polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Výsledky rozebírám z hlediska kategorií volba způsobu práce, charakteristiky case manažera, silných a slabých stránek metody case management.

Abstract:

This bachelor‘s thesis deals with the topic: The case management method in dealing with life situation of alcohol addicts. The aim of this thesis is to find out how the involved workers view this method in dealing the life situation of people addicted to alcohol. The partial goals are to find out in which situations employees choose the method, who should be a case manager and what they perceive the benefits or limits of the case management method. The theoretical part deals with the explanation of the concept of addiction in terms of social pathology, the definition of the life situation of these people and the introduction of the case management method. The empirical part presents the results of research that reflect the views of the workers involved on this method by using six semi-structured interviews. I analyze the results in terms of the choice of method of work, the characteristics of the case manager, the strengths and weaknesses of the case management method.
