The Issue of Education of High Schools Pupils with Chronic Diseases

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice vzdělávání žáků s chronickým onemocněním v prostředí středních škol. Teoretická část se zabývá základní charakteristikou chronického onemocnění, popisuje vybrané poruchy imunitního systému, kardiovaskulární a metabolické poruchy a také záchvatová a nádorová onemocnění. Dále se zabývá edukací těchto žáků, přístupem učitelů a spolužáků. Vymezuje rozdíly mezi integrací a inkluzí. Popisuje, jaký vliv má nemoc na plnohodnotný život žáka, jakým způsobem se jedinec dokáže vyrovnat s nově vzniklou situací. Na závěr se teoretická část věnuje zdravému životnímu stylu. Praktická část diplomové práce navazuje na teoretickou část. Pro realizaci výzkumného šetření byl zvolen kvantitativní přístup, jehož nástrojem byl dotazník. V závěru diplomové práce jsou vyhodnocené hypotézy a také závěrečný popis výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The master's thesis is dedicated to the education of students with chronic illnesses at secondary schools. The theoretical part deals with the basic characteristics of a chronic disease and a description of the selected immune system disorders, cardiovascular and metabolic disorders and also with seizure disorder and cancer. In this thesis I also focus on teachers' attitudes toward the chronically ill students, defining differences between integration and inclusion and also roles of intact students in relation to students with chronic diseases. An integral part of the theoretical section was description of the impact of the disease on the full life of the student, where in addition to the personality and quality of life of individual with chronic disease I deal with ways of coping with the disease, factors that influence disease of student and a healthy lifestyle. The practical part includes a method of quantitative research. I analyzed information obtained by this research by using questionnaire. Stated goals, hypotheses and results of a survey are evaluated in the final description of the research.
