The Burnout Syndrome in the Profession of aTeaching Assistant

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou syndromu vyhoření v profesi asistenta pedagoga na základní škole. V teoretické části je popsána profese asistenta pedagoga, jsou nastíněny historické počátky a vývoj profese v ČR, legislativní ukotvení, platové podmínky a pracovní činnosti, kompetence asistentů, negativní aspekty asistentství a motivace k výkonu povolání. Syndrom vyhoření je tématem další kapitoly, vývoj syndromu, jeho fáze, příznaky, léčba a prevence. Seznámení s problémem syndromu vyhoření u pedagogických pracovníků je námětem poslední kapitoly, což zahrnuje specifika pedagogické profese a přiblížení některých problematických situací, které přispívají k vzniku syndromu. Praktická část zjišťuje, které faktory souvisí se syndromem vyhoření v asistentské profesi. Kvantitativní výzkum je realizován prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření. V diskuzi jsou výsledky výzkumu interpretovány a porovnány s výzkumy zaměřenými na podobné téma.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of burnout syndrome in the profession of teaching assistant at primary school. The theoretical part describes the profession of teaching assistant, outlines the historical beginnings and development of the profession in the Czech Republic, legislative anchoring, salary conditions and work activities,competencies of assistants, negative aspects of teaching and motivation to perform the profession. Burnout syndrome is the topic of the next chapter, the development of the syndrome, its stages, symptoms, treatment and prevention. Getting acquainted with the problem of burnout syndrome in pedagogical staff is the topic of the last chapter, which includes the specifics of the teaching profession and an approach to some of the problematic situations that contribute to the syndrome. The practical part finds out which factors are related to the burnout syndrome in the teaching profession. Quantitative research is carried out through a questionnaire survey. In the discussion, the research results are interpreted and compared with research focused on a similar topic.
