Corporate social responsibility of Vodafone Czech Republic a.s.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje společenské odpovědnosti organizací. Teoretická část se zabývá historickým vývojem konceptu CSR ve světě a také v České republice. Dále jsou uvedeny nejvýznamnější české osobnosti, které implementovaly koncept CSR do praxe již v minulém a předminulém století. Teoretická část obsahuje také charakteristické znaky konceptu CSR, jeho jednotlivé oblasti, přínosy z přijetí konceptu CSR a vybrané nástroje komunikace společensky odpovědných aktivit. Praktická část je věnována společnosti Vodafone Czech Republic a.s. a jejím společensky odpovědným aktivitám. Dále se zaměřuje na popis problematiky života seniorů v České republice a na aktivity, které již Vodafone v této oblasti realizoval. Zároveň je představen vybraný domov pro seniory Domov Sue Ryder o.p.s. Jádrem celé diplomové práce je návrh technologického řešení, kterým se sleduje zjednodušení a zefektivnění každodenní činností personálu Domova. Na závěr jsou uvedeny přínosy z navrhovaného technologického řešení pro Domov Sue Ryder a také pro společnost Vodafone, které by mohly posílit její postavení na trhu oproti konkurenci.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the social responsibility of organizations. The theoretical part deals with the historical development of the concept of CSR in the world and also in the Czech Republic. The following are the most prominent Czech personalities that have implemented CSR concept into practice already in the past and last century. The theoretical part also contains characteristic features of the concept of CSR, its individual areas, the benefits of adopting the concept of CSR and selected tools of communication socially responsible activities.The practical part is devoted to Vodafone Czech Republic as and its socially responsible activities. It also focuses on a description of life of seniors in the Czech Republic and activities that Vodafone already implemented in this area. It is presented to a selected home for the elderly Sue Ryder Home ops The crux of the thesis is to design a technological solution, which monitors simplifying and streamlining the daily activities of the staff of the Home. Finally there are the benefits of the proposed technological solutions for the Sue Ryder Home and also for Vodafone, which could strengthen its market position against the competition.
