Norwegian children and youth literature on World War II

Abstract:

This thesis deals with children's literature, whose central theme is war. I chose this subject because of the very strong and important position of literature in Norway. At the same time, World War II is the subject of both Norwegian society and literature. Even though many years have passed since the war, there are still many books on this subject. There are plenty of books on the Norwegian market dealing with the war. I chose to concentrate on contemporary Norwegian books, the books published after 2000. In the central and main theme of the war, I asked myself some questions. The questions are: How is the Second World War depicted in the books I chose, what facts can readers of the war books learn about how the children we meet in war books experience, how the book's developers are developing. As a method, I chose a thematic analysis. The diploma thesis contains six chapters including the introduction and the ending. I split it into two parts. The first part is rather theoretical, the other is practical, where I deal with book analyzes.

Abstract:

Tato magisterská práce se zaobírá dětskou literaturou, jejímž ústředním tématem je válka. Námět jsem si vybrala z důvodu velmi silné a důležité pozice literatury v Norsku. Současně druhá světová válka je diskutované téma jak v norské společnosti, tak i literatuře. I když od války uplynula již spousta let, vychází stále mnoho knížek s touto tématikou. Na norském trhu existuje spousta knih, které pojednávají o válce. Rozhodla jsem se soustředit na současné norské knihy, tedy knihy vydané po roce 2000. V ústředním a hlavním motivu, války, jsem si kladla několik otázek, na které jsem se snažila najít odpověď. Otázky jsou: Jak je druhá světová válka vyobrazena v knihách, které jsem si vybrala, jaká fakta se mohou čtenáři z knih o válce dozvědět, jakým způsobem zažívají děti, které potkáváme v knihách válku, jakým způsobem se představitelé knihy vyvíjí. Jako metodu jsem si vybrala tematickou analýzu. Diplomová práce obsahuje šest kapitol včetně úvodu a zakončení. Rozdělila jsem ji na dvě části. První část je spíše teoretická, ta druhá praktická, kde se věnuji samotným analýzám knih.
