Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o různých motivačních teoriích, kulturní rozmanitosti a řízení kulturní rozmanitosti v organizaci. V práci budou také široce diskutovány výhody a nevýhody kulturní rozmanitosti na trhu. Například motivační strategie, které jsou účinné v jednom kulturním prostředí, mohou být v jiném přímo urážlivé. Veřejné přijetí, na které může být prodejce ve Spojených státech hrdý, může být pro vědce ve Velké Británii matoucí. Vedoucí pracovníci, kteří dokážou porozumět, ocenit a účinně motivovat multikulturní kolegy, budou v budoucnu nejcennějším zdrojem. Mnoho dnešních vůdců bohužel tyto dovednosti nemá a často je ani nepovažují za důležité. Globální myšlení, orientace na partnerství, schopnost sdílet vedení, zvládnutí moderních technologií a kulturní povědomí - to jsou vlastnosti, které mnoho dnešních vůdců nemá a jejichž důsledkům někdy ani nerozumí. Ale to jsou přesně ty vlastnosti, které jsou naprosto nezbytné pro většinu budoucích vůdců, které by měly být vnímány jako nedílné atributy úspěšného rozvoje.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is about various motivation theories, cultural diversity and managing cultural diversity in an organization. Also, the advantages and disadvantages of the cultural diversity in the market will be broadly discussed in the thesis. For example motivational strategies that are effective in one cultural setting can be downright offensive in another. The public acceptance that a salesperson in the United States can be proud of can be confusing to a scientist in the United Kingdom. Leaders who can understand, value, and effectively motivate multicultural colleagues will be the most valuable resource in the future. Unfortunately, many of today's leaders do not have these skills, and often they do not even consider them important. Global thinking, partnership-orienteers, the ability to share leadership, mastery of modern technology and cultural awareness are qualities that many of today's leaders do not possess and the implications of which they sometimes do not even understand. But these are exactly the qualities that are absolutely necessary for most future leaders, which should be perceived as integral attributes of successful development.
