The Theme of Bullying in Books for Children and Youth

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na stále aktuální téma šikany. Na představení šikany z psychologického a psychoterapeutického hlediska a na představení titulů, které se šikanou zabývají. Dále se zaměřuje na analýzu literární tvorby pro děti a mládež, která pojednává o tématu šikany. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jak jsou daná literární díla pojednávající o šikaně koncipována, jakou formu a styl používají, jaké jsou hlavní témata, zápletky a postavy, které se v nich objevují. Tyto knihy byly vybrány na základě kritérií, jako je popularita, námět a zpracování tématu šikany. Každá kniha je podrobně analyzována a zhodnocena z hlediska společných prvků, charakteristik a interpretace témat, které se v nich objevují. Výsledky této práce mohou poskytnout užitečné informace pro pedagogy, rodiče a další osoby, kteří se zajímají o problematiku šikany. Práce také přispívá k zvýšení povědomí o této závažné společenské problematice a podporuje diskusi o tom, jakým způsobem můžeme bojovat proti šikaně a jak můžeme pomoci obětem této problematiky

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the ever-present issue of bullying. It aims to present bullying from a psychological psychological therapy perspective, as well as to analyze literary works for children and young adults that deal with the topic of bullying. The objective of this thesis is to examine how these literary works are conceptualized, what form and style they use, and what are the main themes, plots, and characters that appear in them. The chosen books were selected based on criteria such as popularity, subject matter, and the treatment of the topic of bullying. Each book is thoroughly analyzed and evaluated in terms of shared elements, characteristics, and interpretation of themes that appear in them. The results of this thesis can provide useful information for educators, parents, and others who are interested in the issue of bullying. It also contributes to raising awareness of this serious social issue and supports a discussion on how we can fight against bullying and how we can help victims of this problem.
