Employment of people with disabilities in the field of social services in the Ústí Region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá problematiku zaměstnávání osob se zdravotním postižením v kontextu sociálních služeb v Ústeckém kraji, se zaměřením na okres Děčín. Cílem práce je analyzovat, zda poskytovatelé sociálních služeb aktivně zapojují osoby se zdravotním postižením do pracovního procesu. Současně se práce snaží identifikovat překážky a výhody spojené s takovým zaměstnáváním a zkoumá, na jakých pracovních pozicích jsou jednotlivci se zdravotním postižením uplatňováni. Klíčovým prvkem výzkumu je mimo jiné i to, nakolik je využíván pracovní potenciál osob se zdravotním postižením. Analýza současné situace osob se zdravotním postižením na pracovním trhu spojuje kvalitativní a kvantitativní výzkumné metody. Práce zahrnuje rozbory aktuální situace na trhu práce osob se zdravotním postižením a doplňují ji rozhovory s klíčovými aktéry v oblasti služeb sociální rehabilitace. Výsledky studie odhalují aktuální výzvy v oblasti zaměstnávání osob se zdravotním postižením v Ústeckém kraji, s důrazem na okres Děčín. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována úloze sociálních služeb při podporování těchto jednotlivců v dosahování zaměstnání. Závěry práce poskytují podklady pro formulaci politik a programů, které mohou posílit inkluzivní pracovní prostředí pro osoby se zdravotním postižením.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis systematically examines the issue of employing individuals with disabilities in the context of social services in the Ústí nad Labem Region, focusing on the Děčín district. The aim of the thesis is to analyze whether providers of social services actively involve individuals with disabilities in the work process. Simultaneously, the study seeks to identify obstacles and advantages associated with such employment, exploring the specific job positions where individuals with disabilities are placed. A key element of the research is to assess the extent to which the work potential of individuals with disabilities is utilized. The analysis of the current situation of individuals with disabilities in the job market combines qualitative and quantitative research methods. The thesis includes in-depth examinations of the current employment situation of individuals with disabilities and supplements these with interviews involving key stakeholders in the field of social rehabilitation services. The study's findings reveal current challenges in the employment of individuals with disabilities in the Ústí nad Labem Region, with a specific emphasis on the Děčín district. Special attention is given to the role of social services in supporting these individuals in achieving employment. The conclusions of the thesis provide insights for the formulation of policies and programs that can strengthen inclusive working environments for individuals with disabilities.
