Homelessness in Ústí nad Labem: The state of health of homeless people and its determinants.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Bezdomovství v Ústí nad Labem: Zdravotní stav bezdomovců a jeho determinanty" se zabývá osobami bez přístřeší žijícími na území krajského města Ústí nad Labem v kontextu jejich zdravotního stavu a znalostí jeho příčin. Informovanost a poznatky takovýchto determinantů současného fenoménu bezdomovství jsou pro řešení a zejména předcházení typu tohoto sociálního vyloučení zásadní, ať už v otázce sociální politiky či zvolení vhodných preventivních opatření. V první části jsou v práci definovány jednotlivé související pojmy s bezdomovectvím a jejich vymezení, v druhé části jsou objasněny faktory bezdomovectví a nejčastější příčiny jejich vzniku s určením jeho typologie. Hlavní pasáž je věnována výzkumné části zdraví a životních podmínek bezdomovců na území města Ústí nad Labem. Výzkum, v podobě dotazníkového šetření a polo-strukturovaných rozhovorů, je zakončen shrnutím všech získaných poznatků důležitých pro předcházení a řešení bezdomovství.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis "Homelessness in Ústí nad Labem: The state of health of homeless individuals and its determinants" deals with persons without shelter living in the territory of the regional city Ústí nad Labem in the context of their health status and knowledge of its causes. The awareness and knowledge of such determinants of the current phenomenon of homelessness are crucial to addressing and, in particular, preventing the type of social exclusion, whether in terms of social policy or the choice of appropriate preventive measures. In the first part of the work are defined respective terms pertaining to homelessness; in the second part the factors of homelessness and the most frequent causes of their origins with the determination of their typology are clarified. The main passage is devoted to the research part of the health and living conditions of homeless people in Ústí nad Labem. The research, in the questionnaire survey and half-structured dialogs, is concluded with all acquired fact findings crucial in preventing and dealing with homelessness.
