Nursing Process in Care of a Child with Acute Gastroenteritis

Abstract:

Cílem předložené práce je vytvoření názorného plánu ošetřovatelské péče vycházejícího z ošetřovatelských diagnóz NANDA - International Taxonomie II u dítěte s akutní gastroenteritidou. Plán ošetřovatelské péče je vypracován u konkrétního hospitalizovaného dítěte na dětském oddělení s diagnózou akutní gastroenteritida. Bakalářská práce je rozdělená na dvě části - na část praktickou a teoretickou. Teoretická část práce je rozdělená na dvě kapitoly. První kapitola je zaměřená na popis onemocnění, na jeho příčiny, příznaky, diagnostiku, léčbu a prevenci. Rovněž je zde věnovaná pozornost dehydratací, která je pro dítě velmi nebezpečná. Druhá kapitola je zaměřená na hospitalizaci dítěte, to zahrnuje potřeby dítěte a role sestry v péči o dítě. V praktické části práce je vypracovaný ošetřovatelský proces, konkrétně pro šestnáctiměsíčního chlapečka, který byl hospitalizovaný na dětském oddělení s akutní gastroenteritidou. Na základě sběru všech anamnestických dat bylo u chlapce zvoleno deset aktuálních a čtyři potencionální ošetřovatelské diagnózy, u kterých byly stanoveny cíle ošetřovatelské péče, intervence a zaznamenaná realizace. Následně bylo provedeno vyhodnocení stanovených cílů ošetřovatelské péče. Všechny cíle ošetřovatelské péče byly splněny a ošetřovatelské diagnózy byly poté ukončeny. Důležitou součástí ošetřovatelské péče byla také edukace matky, která byla po celou dobu hospitalizace přítomná u chlapce a zajišťovala mu potřebnou péči. Během hospitalizace se celkový stav chlapce výrazně lepšil. Šestý den hospitalizace byl propuštěný domů.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to create an illustrative plan of nursing care based on nursing diagnoses NANDA - International Taxonomy II for a child with acute gastroenteritis. A nursing care plan is developed for a specific hospitalized child in a pediatric ward with a diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - theretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. First chapter is focused on a description of the disease, its causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Attention is also paid to dehydration, which is very dangerous for the child. The second chapter focuses on the hospitalization of the child, this includes the needs of the child and the role of the nurse in child care. In the empirical part of the thesis is elaborated nursing process, specifically for a 16 month-old boy who was hospitalized in a pediatric ward with acute gastroenteritis. On the basis of the collection all anamnestic data, ten current and four potential nursing diagnoses were chosen for the boy, who set goals of nursing care, intervention and recorded implementation. Subsequently, an evaluation of the set objectives of nursing care was carried out. All the goals of nursing care were fulfilled and the nursing diagnoses were then terminated. An important part of the nursing care was also the education of the mother, who was present at the boy during the entire hospitalization and provided him with the necessary care. The overall condition of the boy improved significantly during hospitalization. The sixth day of hospitalization was released home.
