Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vývojem a proměnami ve vztazích mezi Čechy a Němci na území města Krnov v letech 1938-1946. Cílem práce je analyzování vzájemných vztahů pomocí narativních rozhovorů a archivních záznamů v kontextu teoretických konceptů etnických konfliktů s objasněním příčin, vedoucích k národnostním střetům mezi Čechy a Němci v Krnově. Úvodní část práce se zaměřuje na vymezení a definici problematických termínů: etnikum, národ a etnický konflikt. Druhá část práce se věnuje metodologii, konkrétně vymezení výzkumné otázky, teoretickému ukotvení, volbě metody a technice sběru dat. Třetí část práce je analytická a zaměřuje se na rozbor vztahů Čechů a Němců v letech 1938-1946, která je doplněna kapitolou, mapující počátky českého a německého nacionalismu v 19. století.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the development and changes in the relations between Czech and German citizens in the town of Krnov in 1938-1946. The aim of this work is to analyse these relationships using narrative interviews and archival records in the context of theoretical concepts of ethnic conflicts and to find the sources leading to ethnic conflicts between Czechs and Germans in Krnov. The introduction part of the thesis focuses on determination and definition of problematic terms: ethnic group, nation and ethnic conflict. The second part of the thesis pays attention to methodology, specifically to formulation of the research question, the theoretical framework, methods selection and data collection technique. The third part is analytical and focuses on the analysis of Czechs and Germans relationships during the years 1938-1946. The last part is completed with a chapter mapping the origins of Czech and German nationalism in the 19th century.
