Francoist Spain as a type of the non-democratic regime

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se týká frankistického režimu, který trval mezi lety 1939 až 1975. Toto období je ve Španělsku neodmyslitelně spojeno s vládou Francisca Franca. V první části této práce jsou obecně objasněny teoretické roviny nedemokratických režimů a definován rozdíl mezi autoritativním a totalitárním zřízením. To je důležité pro následující analytickou část, která rozvádí nejen důvody, díky nimž se Franco ujal moci, ale zevrubně popisuje způsob a konkrétní pojetí Frankistického režimu. V praktické části se bakalářská práce zabývá aplikací způsobu státního vedení tak, jak jej praktikoval Francisco Franco.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the Francoist régime in Spain between 1939 and 1975. This period is related to Francisco Franco and his governance of Spain. The first part of this thesis explains theoretical background of non-democratic regimes and defines the key differences between authoritarian and totalitarian systems. This definition is important for the analytical part which not only explains and evaluates situation when Franco came to power but also describes main elements of his régime. This thesis then applies Franco's methods in the practical part and concludes with actual definition of Franco's régime with all its specific features.
