Bakalářská práce se zabývá handicapovaným hrdinou v dětské knize. Cílem práce je sledování prolínání tematiky handicapu dětí v knihách s dětským hrdinou. V teoretické části práce je psáno o zdravotním postižení, o tělesném postižení, o rodině a handicapovaném dítěti, o mentálním postižení a jeho druzích, o sociálním handicapu a o postoji společnosti k handicapovaným lidem.
