Gamma ray spectometry of the Neogene deposits of the borehole 2241 Pasohlávky

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the research of Lower Badenian sediments from the southern part of the Carpathian foredeep. The studied sediments come from the well 2241 D Pasohlávky. These sediments were subjected to the gamma spectromet-ric measurement and also to the grain analysis. These sediments were classified as clay dust that is relative poorly sorted. Concentrations of potassium are in the range 1,70 – 2,50% with an average value 2,09%. Concentrations of uranium are in the range 1,80 – 4,40 ppm with an average value 3,07 ppm. Concentrations of thorium are in the range 5,70 – 9,40 ppm with an average value 8,00 ppm. The detected con-centrations of natural radionuclides do not differ significantly from the values of these sediments that are actually known from the southern part of the Carpathian depression. This points to an uniform resource area and an uniform deposition conditions of Lower Badenian pelites.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřená na studium spodnobadenských sedimentů z jižní části karpatské předhlubně. Studované sedimenty pocházejí z vrtu 2241 D Pasohlávky. Sedimenty byli podrobené gamaspektrometrickému měření a zrnitostní analýze. Sedimenty byly klasifikovány jako jílovitý prach, který je relativně slabě vy-tříděný. Koncentrácie draslíku sa pohybujú v rozmedzí 1,70 – 2,50% s priemernou hodnotou 2,09%. Koncentrácie uránu sa pohybujú v rozmedzí 1,80 – 4,40 ppm, s priemernou hodnotou 3,07 ppm. Koncentrace thoria, se pohybují v rozmezí 5,70 – 9,40 ppm, když průměrná hodnota dosahovala 8,00 ppm. Zjištěné koncentrace při-rozených radionuklidů se výrazně neliší od hodnot známých pro tyto sedimenty z jižní části karpatské předhlubně, což ukazuje na jednotnou zdrojovou oblast a podmínky depozice spodnobadenských pelitů.
