Factoring and its influence on company cash flow

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce {\clq}qFaktoring a jeho vliv na cash flow podniku`` charakterizuje jednu z rozvíjejících se forem alternativního financování. Cílem této práce je vysvětlení pojmu faktoring, popsání jeho vývoje a především jeho ekonomické podstaty. V práci je dále popsán problém s obtížnou vymahatelností pohledávek a také skutečnost, že pojem faktoring prozatím v Českém právním řádu chybí. Jsou představeny největší faktoringové společnosti, které velmi přispěly k rozšíření této formy financování a podstatně zvýšily povědomí o této službě. V České republice faktoring ještě není zdaleka tak rozšířen jako v některých zemích světa, proto je uvedeno porovnání objemu faktoringových operací na mezinárodním faktoringovém trhu. Dále jsem v práci popsala problematiku cash flow, které tvoří významný podklad pro vyhodnocení finanční pozice firmy. V závěrečné části jsem si vybrala dvě společnosti, kde jsem použila teoretické poznatky o podstatě faktoringu a jeho vlivu na cash flow. Jedna ze společností využívá volné finanční prostředky získané faktoringem na poskytnutí půjček v rámci skupiny. U druhé společnosti jsem provedla podrobnou analýzu, na základě které bych chtěla společnosti doporučit jinou formu provozního financování, kterou je v tomto případě faktoring.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis titled as {\clq}qFactoring and its influence on company cash flow`` characterizes one of the developing forms of alternative financing. The purpose of this thesis is to clarify the term {\clq}qfactoring``, to describe its history and development and especially its economic aspects and principles. The thesis is further focused on the issue of a difficult recovery of claims as well as the fact that {\clq}qfactoring`` has not been covered in the Czech legislation yet. The leading factoring companies are introduced here that significantly contributed to development of this form of financing and considerably increased awareness of it. In the Czech Republic factoring has not been expanded yet as it is in some other countries worldwide - therefore a comparison of volume of factoring operations in the international factoring market is covered in the thesis instead. The thesis further contemplates about cash flow as an important tool for evaluation of the financial position of company. In the final part of the thesis two companies have been selected to be subject to application of the factoring deployment theory as well as review of factoring influence on cash flow. One of the companies uses free financial means gained through factoring to provide loans within the group. The second company was subject to a thorough analysis on the basis of which I would like to recommend to the company management another form of operational financing - factoring.
