Abstract:

Text se na základě dvou konceptů - dětství, resp. mizejícího dětství, a módy jako sociálního fenoménu - věnuje módě dětského oblečení, která v sobě oba koncepty spojuje. Možnost aplikace charakteristik módy jako sociálního fenoménu a teze o mizejícím dětství dle Neila Postmana na dětskou módu je diskutována převážně na základě sociologické literatury, která se k tématu dětského oblečení nějakým způsobem vyjadřuje. Móda dětského oblékání je přitom významně ovlivněna spotřebními hodnotami současné společnosti a velkou roli hraje také skupina vrstevníků. Hlavní otázkou, na kterou se práce snaží odpovědět je „jak současná dětská móda reprezentuje dětství?“, ale vedle toho má text ještě jeden cíl – vyplnit jedno z mnoha prázdných míst sociologie dětství, kterému se v českém prostředí věnuje jen velmi málo autorů.

Abstract:

Text, which is based on two concepts – childhood, especially the disappearance of childhood, and fashion as a social phenomenon – is focused on the children’s fashion, where the both concepts are connected. The availability of an application of the fashion’s characteristics as social phenomenon and the thesis of the disappearance of childhood according to Neil Postman to children’s fashion is discussed mainly on the basis of sociological texts, which are focused on the theme of children’s fashion. The style of children’s clothes is significantly influenced by the consumption values of current society and by the peers. The main question, to which the thesis has tried to find an answer, is: “How is the current children’s fashion representing the childhood?”, and the secondary aim is to fill one of empty areas of the sociology of childhood, to which only few authors in Czech academic environment are devoted.
