Implementation of hedge accounting in a company

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat proces implementace zajišťovacího účetnictví dle Mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví. V první kapitole se věnuji obecně významu a úpravě zajišťovacího účetnictví, hlavním cílům a problémům, následně v druhé kapitole popisuji samotný proces implementace zajišťovacího účetnictví ve společnosti a kritéria, která je třeba pro jeho vedení splnit. Na závěr diplomové práce jsem se rozhodla implementovat tři příklady zajišťovacích vztahů na konkrétní společnost a ukázat jejich účetní řešení, prezentaci ve finančních výkazech, zajišťovací dokumentaci a celkový mechanismus zajištění

Abstract:

This master thesis aims to describe the process of implementation of hedge accounting according to International Financial Reporting Standards. The first chapter is devoted to the general meaning and regulation of hedge accounting, the main objectives, and problems. The second chapter describes the actual process of implementing hedge accounting in a company and the criteria that need to be met for its maintenance. The thesis concludes with three examples of hedging relationships on the financial statements of a particular company, showing their accounting treatment, disclosures, hedging documentation, and the overall hedging mechanism.
