Cílem této bakalářské práce je přeložit úryvek knihy spisovatelky Fiony Robyn, konkterétně první tři kapitoly jejího románu The Letters, poskytnout k danému textu stylistickou analýzu originálního textu a následně prodiskutovat problematická místa překladu, zejména z pohledu částečné a nulové ekvivalence. Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to translate an extract from a book written by Fiona Robyn, more specifically three chapters of her novel The Letters. The thesis provides stylistic analysis of the original text and discusses features which caused problems during the translation, using the teory of equivalence as the basis.
