Identical twins in the same classroom

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce byla snaha proniknout do života dvojčat, zjistit jaká pozitiva a negativa jsou s jejich životem spojena. O těchto poznatcích je pojednáno v jednotlivých kapitolách teoretické části, mezi jejíž témata patří jednotlivé typy dvojčat, jejich historie a současnost, osobnost a identita dvojčat, rodina a způsob výchovy rodičů. Poslední kapitolou je období školní docházky, kde je popsána problematika dvojčat ve škole. Výzkumná část usiluje o nastínění vlastního náhledu dvojčat na léta strávená v jedné školní třídě. Vzhledem k tomuto tématu byl zvolen kvalitativní design, metodou získávání dat byly polostrukturované rozhovory, které probíhaly s oběma identickými dvojčaty najednou. Výsledky ukázaly, že skoro všechna dvojčata by nechtěla docházet do odlišných tříd, a to i přesto, že společná docházka jim přinášela i negativa. Pouze jedna dvojice respondentů by ostatním dvojčatům a jejím rodičům doporučila dvojčata ve škole rozdělit. Výsledky výzkumu jsou v diskuzi srovnávány s dosavadními teoretickými poznatky.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to infiltrate into the lives of twins to determine the positives and negatives associated with their life. These facts and findings are discussed in each chapter of the theoretical part, where topics include various types of twins, their history and current status, personality and identity of twins, family and ways of their upbringing. The last chapter is the school attendance period where the twins described their problems in school. Research section tries to outline its own view of the years twins spent in a classroom. As the most effective method for this topic was chosen a qualitative design, method of data collection where semi-structured interviews took place with two identical twins at once. The results showed that almost all the twins would not want to attend different classes, even though their common attendance brought them also the negatives. Only one pair of respondents would recommend other twins and their parents to be placed apart to different classes at school. Research results are in discussion compared with existing theoretical knowledge.
