Gender Aspects in Clinical Social Work

Abstract:

S termínem "gender" je spojena genderová a potažmo sociální role čili očekávané chování jedince ve společnosti s již zažitým tradičním chováním. S problematikou genderu souvisí genderové stereotypy a předsudky, které se do značné míry mohou a také vyskytují ve zdravotně sociální práci. Někteří zdravotně sociální pracovníci se jimi mohou řídit, což může vést k chybnému posouzení situace klienta, nebo klientky, ale také nemusí. Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, zda mají zdravotně sociální pracovníci znalosti o existence možných genderových předsudků a stereotypů ve zdravotně sociální práci a dále jestli se u nich vyskytují genderové předsudky a stereotypy při jednání s nadřízenými. Kvůli kvalitativnímu pojetí výzkumu jsem si stanovil následující výzkumné otázky: 1) Mají zkoumaní zdravotně sociální pracovníci a pracovnice znalosti o existenci gen-derových stereotypů ve zdravotně sociální práci? 2) Vyskytují se u zdravotně sociálních pracovníků při jednání s nadřízenými genderové stereotypy? Pro zodpovězení výzkumných otázek bylo s respondenty provedeno 6 polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, 5 se zdravotně sociálními pracovnicemi a 1 se zdravotně sociálním pracovníkem. Vyhodnocení dat získaných od respondentů bylo provedeno metodou vytváření trsů. Data jsem roztřídil do pěti okruhů. Všichni respondenti působí v organizacích v Olomouckém kraji. Realizace výzkumu probíhala v období prosinec 2018-únor 2019. Výsledky rozhovorů s respondenty byly kvalitativním způsobem zanalyzovány a přepraco-vány do přehledných tabulek. Předložená bakalářská práce může v budoucnu představovat zdroj informací pro zdravotně sociální pracovníky a pracovnice, ale může posloužit i široké veřejnosti, kterou tato oblast zajímá.

Abstract:

The term "gender" is connected with gender and social roles, i.e. the expected behavior of an individual in society with traditional behavior. Gender stereotypes and prejudices are related to the issue of gender, which can to a large extent occur in clinical social work. The aim of my bachelor thesis was to find out whether clinical social workers have knowledge about the existence of possible gender prejudices and stereotypes in clinical social work and whether they have gender prejudices and stereotypes in dealing with their superiors. Due to the qualitative concept of research I have set the following research questions: 1) Do the clinical social workers surveyed have knowledge of the existence of gen-stereotypes in clinical social work? 2) Do gender stereotypes occur with clinical workers in dealing with their superiors? In order to answer the research questions, six semistructured interviews were conducted with the respondents, 5 with clinical social workers women, and 1 with a clinical social worker man. The evaluation of data obtained from respondents was performed by the met-hod of tuft formation. I sorted the data into five circles. All respondents work in organizations in the Olomouc Region. The research was conducted in December 2018 - February 2019. The results of interviews with respondents were analyzed qualitatively and reworked into well-arranged tables. The submitted bachelor thesis may in the future represent a source of information for clinical social workers, but it can also serve the general public interested in this area.
