Cieľom diplomovej práce „Globálny menový systém“ je priblížiť charakteristiku menového systému a menovej politiky. Súčasne sa v tejto práci poukazuje na Medzinárodný menový fond v minulosti a súčasnosti a ďalej rieši problematiku Špeciálnych práv čerpania (SDR) , ktoré sú veľmi dôležité pre fungovanie menovej politiky.
