On translation problems of instructive texts

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with translation of instructive texts and involves error analysis. From the category of instructive texts translation of food labels and a manual were chosen. The error analysis was performed with the help of scientific literature and internet research. The analysis was conducted in concrete steps: evaluation of the translation and the translation strategy, identification and characteristic of errors, and finally a suggestion of correction.

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá překladem instruktivních textů se zapojením analýzy chyb. Z kategorie instruktivní texty byly zvoleny překlady etiket potravin a návod k obsluze. Pomocí odborné literatury a rešerší na internetu byla provedena analýza chyb, která probíhala v konkrétních krocích: zhodnocení překladu a překladatelské strategie, identifikace chyb a charakteristika, a konečně návrh opravy.
