Use of mathematical calculations in chemistry curriculum at primary school

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá preferovanými způsoby výpočtů aplikovaných úloh v učivu chemie na základní škole a nejčastější výskytem chyb, kterých se žáci během výpočtů dopouštějí. Problematika je zpracována formou případové studie. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části je uveden význam matematických výpočtů v chemii, didaktické zásady, motivace a charakteristika kurikulárních dokumentů, včetně analýzy tematických plánů dané školy. Součástí teoretické části je stručná rešerše učiva matematiky a chemie. Praktická část je věnována metodice výzkumu a následnému vyhodnocení a shrnutí celých výsledků. Cílem této práce je zmapování preferovaných postupů a nejčastějších chyb při výpočtech v chemii. Výsledky diplomové práce mohou posloužit studentům učitelství přírodovědných předmětů a učitelům přírodovědných předmětů na základních školách při jejich přípravách na vyučování chemických výpočtů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the preferred methods of calculation applied tasks in teaching chemistry at primary school and frequent occurrence of errors of pupils during calculations are guilty. The issue is processed as a case study. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part provides the meaning of mathematical calculations in chemistry, didactic principles, motivations and characteristics of curricula, including an analysis of the thematic programs of the school. The theoretical part is a brief search at mathematics and chemistry, which are needed in the calculations. The practical part is devoted to the research methodology and subsequent evaluation summary and full results. The aim of this thesis is to describe the preferred practices and common mistakes in calculations in chemistry. The results of this thesis can serve students of teaching and teachers of science subjects in primary schools in their preparations for teaching chemistry calculations.
