Gender stereotypes in the upbringing of children from the perspective of young mothers

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá genderovými stereotypy ve výchově dětí. Tato práce se opírá o data získaná během samotného výzkumu, který se odehrával v okolí Litomyšle. Ukazuje výchovu dětí z pohledu dnešních mladých matek z okolí českého menšího města. Výpovědi z rozhovorů a poznatky získané během zúčastněného pozorování jsou podloženy vybranou literaturou. Cílem bylo získat potřebná data k zodpovězení předem stanovených výzkumných otázek, které se týkají především toho, do jaké míry informantky využívají genderové stereotypy ve výchově svých dětí. Dospěla jsem k výsledkům, které ukazují, že genderové stereotypy ve výchově dnešních dětí jsou do jisté míry bourány.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with gender stereotypes in the education of children. This work is based on data obtained during the research itself, which took place in the vicinity of Litomyšl. It shows the upbringing of children from the perspective of today's young mothers. Testimonials from interviews and findings obtained during participatory observation are supported by selected literature. The aim was to obtain the necessary data to answer predetermined research questions, which relate primarily to the extent to which informants use gender stereotypes in the upbringing of their children.
