Strategy and Sustainability of Renewable Energy Sources in Business Conditions in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Implementace fotovoltaických elektráren do podniků je jednou z cest, jak přiblížit Českou republiku ke klimatické neutralitě. Cílem práce je posoudit výhodnost investice do fotovoltaických elektráren vzhledem k současné situaci na trhu s elektřinou a jeho výhledu do budoucích let. V praktické části je zohledněn dopad nákladů a výnosů plynoucích z provozu fotovoltaických elektráren společnosti ABC na celkovou výhodnost a efektivitu investice skrze dynamické ukazatele vnitřního výnosového procenta, čisté současné hodnoty a diskontované doby návratnosti. Následně je provedena podrobná citlivostní analýza, která zkoumá dopad změn vstupních hodnot, zejména pak investičních nákladů, na efektivnost investice. V diskusní části jsou výsledky ekonomické analýzy porovnány s odbornou literaturou. Přínosem práce je posouzení výhodnosti investice do konkrétních fotovoltaických elektráren v podmínkách České republiky a stanovení možností budoucího výzkumu na stejné téma.

Abstract:

The implementation of solar power plants in businesses is one of the ways to bring the Czech Republic closer to climate neutrality. The aim of this thesis is to assess the profitability of investment in solar power plants in view of the current situation on the electricity market and its future perspective. In the applied part, the impact of the costs and revenues arising from the operation of solar power plants of ABC company on the overall profitability and efficiency of the investment is taken into account through dynamic indicators of internal rate of return, net present value and discounted payback period. A detailed sensitivity analysis is then carried out to examine the impact of changes on input values, in particular investment costs, on the efficiency of the investment. In the discussion section, the results of the economic analysis are compared with literature. The contribution of the paper is to assess the profitability of investment in specific solar power plants within the conditions of the Czech Republic and to determine the possibilities of future research on the same topic.
