Formative Assessment in Primary School

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce je věnována formativnímu hodnocením v primárním vzdělávání. Jejím cílem je zjistit, jakým způsobem učitelé využívají formativní hodnocení ve výuce na 1. stupni ZŠ. Jedná se o kvalitativně orientovaný výzkum s použitím metody sběru dat polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Participanty tvoří učitelky 1. stupně ZŠ. Zjištění ukazují, že participanti využívají formativní hodnocení rozmanitým způsobem, ať vědomě či nevědomě. Za jeho klíčový prvek považují poskytování konkrétní zpětné vazby, sebehodnocení a kritéria úspěchu. Výsledky mimo jiné prokazují nedostatečné povědomí zkoumaných učitelek o konceptu formativního hodnocení a obavy z vrstevnického hodnocení, které vyvolává kritiku a urážky ze strany spolužáků. V závěru práce je uvedená diskuze a limity.

Abstract:

The presented diploma thesis is dedicated to formative assessment in primary education. The aim of the thesis is to find out how teachers use formative assessment in teaching in primary school. It is a qualitative research using a semi-structured interview method of data collection. The participants are teachers of primary education. The findings providing that participants use formative assessment in a variety of ways, either consciously or unconsciously. They consider providing specific feedback, self-assessment and success criteria as its key elements. The results demonstrate, among other things, the lack of awareness of the surveyed teachers about the concept of formative assessment and the concern about peer assessment that provokes criticism and insults from classmates. The paper concludes with a discussion and limitations.
