A Dilemma whether to intervene or not in domestic violence issues from the perspective of social workers of Department of social and legal protection of children

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá tématem Dilematu zasáhnout, či nezasáhnout v problematice domácího násilí z pohledu sociálních pracovníků OSPOD. Je rozdělena do pěti částí a to na úvod, teoretickou část, metodologickou část, empirickou část a závěr. Hlavním cílem této práce je odpovědět na otázku: „Jak sociální pracovníci OSPOD zvládají dilema zasáhnout, či nezasáhnout v případech s podezřením na domácí násilí z pohledu sociálních pracovníků OSPOD?“ Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří základních okruhů, kterými se zabývá a jde tedy o domácí násilí, organizaci OSPOD a dilema zasáhnout, či nezasáhnout. Výzkum byl veden kvalitativní metodou a to prostřednictvím polostruktorovaného rozhovoru se sociálními pracovníky OSPOD. Empirická část představuje analýzu získaných dat a jejich následnou interpretaci, jenž vyústí v získání odpovědí na dílčí otázky a základní výzkumnou otázku. Závěr je shrnutím výsledků realizace výzkumu.

Abstract:

This thesis is concerned with the topic of a dilemma whether to intervene or not in domestic violence issues from the viewpoint of Department of social and legal protection of children social workers. It is divided into five sections, i.e. an introduction, theoretical part, methodological part, empirical part and conclusion. The aim of the thesis is to answer the question: “How do Department of social and legal protection of children social workers deal with the dilemma whether to intervene or not in cases suspected of domestic violence from their point of view?” The theoretical part is divided into three basic subsections discussing domestic violence, Department of social and legal protection of children organization and the dilemma of intervening or not. The research was carried out by a qualitative method, namely through semistructured interview with the social workers from Department of social and legal protection of children organization. The empirical part represents an analysis of the acquired data and its subsequent interpretation which results in achieving answers to the fundamental research question and particular questions. The conclusion summarizes the results of the performed research.
