Financial stability and business performance from the perspective of modern methods of measuring effectiveness

Abstract:

Diplomová práce vychází z problematiky měření efektivity podnikových činností se zaměřením na moderní metody hodnocení výkonnosti ve vybraném podnikatelském subjektu. V úvodní části práce jsou prostudovány odborné prameny, zabývající se jak tradičními metodami finanční analýzy, tak i moderním přístupem k hodnocení finanční stability firem. Praktická část zahrnuje rozbor hospodaření společnosti GRAPE SC, a.s. pomocí tradičních i moderní ukazatelů přidané hodnoty včetně meziodvětvových srovnání a předurčuje tak strukturu teoretické části. Aplikace metody měření intenzity firemního vývoje definuje vliv extenzivních a intenzivních faktorů na vývoj analyzované firmy. V závěru této práce je provedeno porovnání použitých metod měření efektivity podniku s důrazem na nutnost jejich integrace a navržena opatření pro management ke zlepšení současné ekonomické situace ve firmě.

Abstract:

The thesis is based on the issue of measuring the effectiveness of business activities with a focus on modern methods of performance evaluation in a selected business entity. In the introductory part of the work are studied professional sources, dealing with both traditional methods of financial analysis, as well as a modern approach to the evaluation of financial stability of companies. The practical part includes the analysis of GRAPE SC, a.s. using both traditional and modern value-added indicators, including cross-sectoral comparisons, thus predetermining the structure of the theoretical part. The application of the method of measuring the intensity of corporate development defines the influence of extensive and intensive factors on the development of the analyzed company. In the conclusion of this work, a comparison of the methods used to measure the effectiveness of a company is made with an emphasis on the necessity of their integration and proposed measures for management to improve the current economic situation in the company.
