Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá metodami a přístupy ve výuce dyslektických žáků angličtině, jakožto cizího jazyka, na prvním stupni základních škol. Teoretická část je zaměřena na základní definice a charakteristiku dyslexie jako jedné ze speciálních vzdělávacích potřeb. Dále také klade důraz na roli učitele ve výuce cizího jazyka, inkluzi žáků do běžných tříd a identifikaci dyslexie. Cílem práce je nalézt vhodné vyučovací metody a přístupy ve výuce dyslektických dětí cizímu jazyku navrhované odborníky a zjistit za pomoci případové studie, zda jsou užívány také v praxi na zvolených dvou českých základních školách, či jaké strategie a přístupy tito učitelé využívají a zda jsou efektivní. Teorie a následné výsledky případové studie mohou pomoci učitelům nalézt vlastní metody výuky dyslektických dětí angličtině, jakožto cizímu jazyku.

Abstract:

The master's thesis deals with methods and approaches of how to teach English as a foreign language to dyslexic children at lower primarily schools. The theoretical part draws the attention to the basic definitions and characteristics of dyslexia as one of the specific learning differences. It also highlights teachers' role in a foreign language classroom and the importance of inclusion into mainstream classes and diagnosis of dyslexia. The aim of the thesis is to discover appropriate teaching methods and approaches suggested by experts to teach dyslexic children in a foreign language classroom and investigate, with the use of a case study if they are applied in practice at two Czech primarily schools; or which teaching strategies and approaches the teachers use and whether they are effective. The theory and the research results may help teachers find their ways of how to teach English as a foreign language to dyslexic children.
