Functioning of the Market in the Czech IT Sector: a Study of the Current State

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vztahem mezi nabídkou a dostupnými informaci na českém trhu informačních technologií. Jejím cílem je zjistit, fungování tržních principů v daném segmentu a na základě zjištěných skutečností navrhnout doporučení pro manažery firem, zvažujících investice do IT. Použitá výzkumná metodika byla založena na vybraných shodně kompatibilních společností a ověřování jejich poskytovaných produktech a službách. Také je založena na přezkoumání referencí klientů, zda opravdu používají implementované komplexy a zjištění jejich spokojenosti se systémem. V prvním kroku při průzkumu firem se vydávám za potencionálního klienta. Prvně se informace dovídám přes jejich internetové stránky a později i písemně přes elektronickou poštu. Ve druhém kroku už jako student se pomocí dotazníkového šetření informuji o spokojenosti zákazníků s implementovanými IS. Výsledky mých zjištění vychází v menší míře ku prospěchu firem, odběratelé jsou z 57% spokojeni a reference z 99% nelžou. Nabízející společnosti informačních systému se jeví jako velmi vstřícné a ochotně se přizpůsobující. Cena zpravidla není uvedená, ale také ji nelze jen tak vykalkulovat, a proto jsou nutné osobní kontakty, které upřesní potřebné informace potencionálním kupcům a dodavatelům.

Abstract:

Topic of my thesis is relationship between supply and available information on the Czech market of information technologies. The goal is to determine operation of the market principal in this segment and on the basis of the reality to suggest recommendations for managers of companies contemplating investment in IT. Applied research methodology was based on identical companies and how they are able to fulfil their offered products and services. It is also based on a review of references of clients that actually use the implemented complexes and to determine their satisfaction with the system. I act as a potencial client in the first step of research. First, the information I learn through their website and later in writing via e-mail. In the second step I am student is using the survey to inform about customer satisfaction with the implemented IS. The results of my inquiry are of company's profit a little, customers are 57 % satisfied and 99 % of reference do not lie. Selling the company information system seems to be very friendly and willing to adjusting. Price isn't usually mentioned, and it can not be calculate properly, and therefore there is need of personal contacts to specify the required information to potential buyers and suppliers.
