The Strategy Analysis of The Dairy of Choceň

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce spočívá v provedení strategické analýzy firmy Choceňská mlékárna s.r.o. Práce je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části – teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části jsou popsány metody a jejich význam pro zhotovení strategické analýzy. Praktická část z těchto metod vychází a veškeré poznatky jsou uplatněny na tvorbu samotné strategické analýzy. Samotná analýza se pak skládá ze 3 hlavních částí: charakteristiky vnějšího prostředí, charakteristiky vnitřního prostředí a syntézy. Pro určení vnějšího prostředí je využita PESTLE analýza, charakteristika odvětví a Porterův model 5 sil. V rámci určení vnitřního prostředí jsou definovány relevantní zdroje nebytné pro tvorbu hodnoty. Pro stanovení jejich důležitosti je užita VRIO analýza. V závěru práce je v rámci syntézy obou prostředí provedena SWOT analýza, na jejímž základě jsou formulována strategická doporučení.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis lies in conducting a strategy analysis of a company The Dairy of Choceň. The work is divided into two main parts – theoretical and practical. In the theoretical one there were described methods and their significance for conducting a strategy analysis. The practical one stems from those methods and all the findings are used for making out the very own analysis. The analysis consists of 3 crucial parts: determination of the external area, determination of the inner area and the synthesis. To determine the external backgroud the PESTLE analysis, branch characterisation and Porter’s Five Forces model were used. To specify the inner area all the relevant resources were analysed and their merit was summed up in VRIO analysis. At the end of the thesis the SWOT analysis was made to come up with proper solutions and form the strategy recommendations.
