The Role of the Social Worker when Obtaining State Social Support for Single Mothers

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na roli sociálního pracovníka při získávání státní sociální podpory pro matky samoživitelky. Matky samoživitelky jsou často vystaveny finančním a pracovním výzvám, což vyžaduje efektivní a empatickou podporu ze strany sociálních pracovníků. Cílem této práce je prozkoumat strategie, které mohou sociální pracovníci použít k zajištění adekvátní sociální podpory pro tyto ženy, a v čem by se mohli sociální pracovníci zlepšit, aby docházelo k lepšímu porozumění mezi samoživitelkou a sociálním pracovníkem. Teoretická část analyzuje situaci matky samoživitelky, včetně jejího finančního stavu a dostupných možností sociální podpory. Praktická část se zaměřuje na konkrétní analýzu role sociálního pracovníka při poskytování státní sociální podpory v praxi. Výsledky mají nejen akademický význam, ale i praktickou hodnotu pro sociální pracovníky, kteří se zabývají podporou rodin v obtížných životních situacích.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the role of a social worker in providing state social support for single mothers. Single mothers often face financial and employment challenges, requiring effective and empathetic support from social workers. The aim of this thesis is to explore the strategies that social workers can use to provide adequate social support for these women, and what social workers could improve on to achieve a better understanding between the single parent and the social worker situation. The theoretical part analyzes the situation of single mothers, including their financial status and available options for social support. The practical part focuses on a specific analysis of the role of a social worker in providing state social support in practice. The results have not only academic significance but also practical value for social workers dealing with family support in challenging life situations.
