Integration of a child with ADHD into primary school

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou integrace žáka s ADHD do běžné základní školy. Text práce je členěn do tří kapitol. V první kapitole je podrobně vymezen syndrom ADHD, jeho základní formy a projevy. Dále se kapitola zabývá etiologií syndromu ADHD, jeho diagnostikou a výchovnými strategiemi ve škole a v rodině. Druhá kapitola je věnována vzdělávání žáka se syndromem ADHD, z hlediska inkluzivního vzdělávaní jsou zde objasněny pojmy integrace a inkluze, dále legislativní rámec vzdělávání a poradenství. V neposlední řadě je ve druhé kapitole objasněna funkce asistenta pedagoga. Třetí kapitola zahrnuje kvalitativní výzkumné šetření, kdy je zvolenou metodou případová studie (kazuistika). Součástí případové studie je rodinná a osobní anamnéza chlapce se syndromem ADHD, zúčastněné dlouhodobé pozorování, charakteristika prostředí, kde proběhl výzkum a rozhovory s matkou žáka a jeho třídní učitelkou.

Abstract:

This Bachelor’s thesis deals with integration issues of a pupil with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) at an ordinary primary school. Thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter defines ADHD and its basic forms and symptoms in detail. Further the chapter deals with etiology of ADHD, its diagnosis and educational strategies at school and in boy’s family. The second chapter deals with education process of the pupil with ADHD, it explains the term of integration and the term of inclusion with respect to inclusive education, as well as legislative framework of education and counselling. And last but not least the second chapter explains the function of a teaching assistant. The third chapter includes a qualitative research with the casy study method. Family and personal case history of the boy with ADHD, involved long-term observation, characteristics of the research setttings and interviews with the pupil’s mother and class teacher are the parts of the case study.
