Financial planning in the pharmaceutical industry: a case study

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá finančním plánováním, konkrétně principy a metodami finančního plánování, krátkodobým a dlouhodobým plánem a kontrolou plánu. Pro účel aplikace uvedené teorie je v práci představena farmaceutická společnost XY s.r.o., konkurenti společnosti i farmaceutický průmysl obecně. Na základě finanční analýzy společnosti XY s.r.o. pro roky 2013 až 2017 a cílů společnosti je vypracován krátkodobý a dlouhodobý plán pro roky 2018 až 2020. V závěru práce je provedena kontrola plánu a jsou společnosti XY s.r.o. navrhnuta doporučení v oblasti finančního plánování.

Abstract:

This Master’s thesis is focused on the financial planning, specifically the principles and methods of the financial planning, the short-term and long-term planning and the plan control. For the purpose of the application of this theory, the thesis introduces the pharmaceutical company XY s.r.o., its competitors and pharmaceutical industry in general. Based on the financial analysis of XY s.r.o. for the years 2013 to 2017 and the goals of the company, there are the short-term and long-term plans being prepared for the years 2018 to 2020. At the end of the thesis, the plan control is provided and the recommendations in the area of the financial planning are given to the company XY s.r.o..
