Professional journey of a primary school ´s teachers

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá profesními příběhy dvou učitelek a jedné ředitelky základní školy z hlediska jejich sebepojetí. V rámci jedinečné příležitosti je na profesní příběh učitelek a ředitelky nahlíženo v kombinaci s jejich profesním a ředitelským portfoliem, které si obě učitelky a ředitelka vedou již několik let. Primární záměr této diplomové práce spočívá v identifikaci profesního sebepojetí v profesním příběhu učitelek. Druhořadým cílem bylo nalézt mezi těmito nástroji souvislost. Byla použita triangulace zdrojů dat, která staví metodu hloubkového polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a obsahovou analýzu dokumentů proti sobě. Ukázalo se, že profesní portfolio učitelek dokládá jejich profesní růst, ale také zahrnuje některé aspekty profesního sebepojetí. Z výsledků případové studie bylo zjištěno, že v profesním příběhu dvou učitelek a jedné ředitelky základní školy byly identifikovány některé oblasti učitelova sebepojetí, které se následně objevily v profesním portfoliu učitelek a ředitelky.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with professional stories of two teachers and one primary school headmaster in terms of their self-concept. On the occasion of unique opportunity, the professional stories of the teachers and the primary school headmaster are viewed in combination of their professional and directorial portfolios that they have been recording for several years. The primary goal of this diploma thesis lies in the identification of professional self-concept in the professional story of both teachers. The secondary goal has been to find a connection between these two tools - the professional portfolios and the self-concept stories. Triangulation data have been used in order to put the method of in-depth semi-structured dialogue and the content analysis of documantation into comparison. It has turned out that the professional portfolios of the teachers both demonstrate their professional growth and also include some aspects of the professional self-concept. From the results of the case study, it has been found out that some areas of teacher's self-concept have been identified in the professional stories of the above mentioned participants and subsequently they have appeared in their professional portfolios.
