Comparative analysis of insurance products and insurance indicators in the Czech Republic and Ukraine

Abstract:

Cílem mé práce je porovnat trh pojištění v České republice, kde studuji, a na Ukrajině, odkud pocházím. V teoretické části definuji různé druhy pojištění a pojistné produkty. Následně se budu věnovat analýze obou trhů a porovnání dostupných produktů. Oba trhy nabízí mnoho stejných produktů, avšak v některých se liší. V praktické části zhodnotím pojistné ukazatele z roku 2020 na českém i ukrajinském trhu. Čerpat budu ze zpráv a statistik ČAP, agentury Insurance Top a statistik Národního finančního komitétu Ukrajiny. V další kapitole praktické části se zaměřím na největší české a ukrajinské pojišťovny a následně porovnám nabídku i cenu jednotlivých produktů na obou trzích. Závěrem zhodnotím oba trhy, kvalitu služeb pojišťoven i objem pojistného a důvěru občanů. Porovnání konkrétních pojišťoven může sloužit jako návod při výběru pojistitele.

Abstract:

The aim of my work is to compare the insurance market in the Czech Republic, where I study, and in Ukraine, where I come from. In the theoretical part I define different types of insurance and insurance products. Subsequently, I will analyze both markets and compare available products. Both markets offer many of the same products, but in some they are different. In the practical part I will evaluate insurance indicators from 2020 on the Czech and Ukrainian markets. I will draw on the reports and statistics of the ČAP, the Insurance Top agency and the statistics of the National Financial Committee of Ukraine. In the next chapter of the practical part I will focus on the largest Czech and Ukrainian insurance companies and then compare the offer and price of individual products in both markets. Finally, I will evaluate both markets, the quality of insurance services and the volume of premiums and the confidence of citizens. A comparison of specific insurance companies can serve as a guide when choosing an insurer.
