Abstract:

Tato práce zkoumá a popisuje dopady a důsledky znovuzavedení hraničních kontrol v schengenském prostoru. Účelem je nabídnout lepší zobrazení politických, ekonomických, sociálních a technologických dopadů znovuzavedení hraničních kontrol od roku 2015 do roku 2021. V tomto časovém intervalu se Evropská unie potýkala s migrační krizí a zároveň s krizí ve zdravotnictví, s pandemií Covid-19.Jejich následné důsledky ovlivnily nejen strategie a politiku některých zemí Evropské unie, ale i bezpečnostní situaci Unie jako celku. Klíčovou metodou studia je alternativní PEST analýza. Praktická část se skládá ze dvou hlavních kapitol, které podrobně ukazují časové rozpětí a dopady znovuzavedení kontrol na vnitřních hranicích.

Abstract:

This thesis investigates and describes the effects and consequences of the reintroduction of border controls in Schengen Area. The purpose of this paper is to offer a better depiction of the political, economic, social, and technological impacts of the reinstatement of border controls since 2015 to 2021. During that time frame, the European Union was faced with an incomparable migration crisis, as well as a healthcare crisis, specifically the Covid-19 pandemic. The subsequent ramifications of these affected not only the strategies and policies of some European Union countries, but also the security situation of the Union as a whole. The key method of study is alternative PEST analysis. The practical part consists of two main chapters which show in detail the time span and effects of the reinstatement of internal border controls.
