People with invisible disabilities in the labour market

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřená na analýzu zkušeností osob se skrytým postižením na trhu práce. Je tvořena teoretickou částí, v níž jsou vymezeny pojmy spojené s problematikou zaměstnávání osob se skrytým zdravotním postižením a popsán legislativní rámec a ekonomické aspekty tématu. V analytické části jsou pomocí kvalitativních metod (analýza polostrukturovaných rozhovorů) zkoumány podmínky na trhu práce pro osoby se skrytými postiženími, přístup okolí a bariéry, kterým tyto osoby čelí. Na základě zjištění jsou formulována doporučení, jejichž cílem je identifikované překážky a negativní vlivy zmírnit či odstranit. Návrhy jsou směřovány na zaměstnavatele osob se skrytým postižením, jejich kolegy a také na úroveň neziskových organizací a státní správy.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on research of people with invisible disabilities’ experiences in the labour market. It consists of a theoretical part which defines concepts relevant to the topic of employment of people with invisible disabilities and determines its legislative framework and economic aspects. The analytical part of the thesis uses qualitative methods (analysis of semistructured interviews) to research working conditions for people with invisible disabilities and the reactions and barriers they face. Based on these findings, suggestions aiming to mitigate or eliminate these obstacles and negative attitudes are formulated. The suggestions are targeted at the employers of people with invisible disabilities, their colleagues and also at non-profit organisations and state administration.
