Influence of aquateraphy and swimming on children with physical disability

Abstract:

Mozková obrna je neprogresivní onemocnění, které vzniká na základě poškození mozku během těhotenství, po porodu nebo v době poporodní. Tato onemocnění vyžaduje nepřetržitou péči a handicapovaný je závislý na pomoci druhých lidí. V práci je zmíněn vliv plavání na organismus a jeho přínos. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část charakterizuje tělesná postižení zvlášť mozkovou obrnu a její rozdělení, dále význam plavání pro tělesně handicapovaného jedince a formy aquaterapie. Praktická část je metodou kazuistik, kdy je zachycen život čtyř dětí s tělesným postižením a jejich metodika plavání a aquterapie. Cílem praktické části je popsat vliv plavání a aquaterapie u dětí s tělesným postižením. Navázat kontakt s rodinou a zjistit základní informace o onemocnění.

Abstract:

Cerebral palsy is a non-progressional disease that developes from a brain disorder during pregnancy, after birth or at the time of postpartum. This disorder requires continuous care and the handicapped is dependent on the help of others. The bachelor thesis describes the influence of swimming on the organism and its contribution. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part characterizes physical disability, especially cerebral palsy and its division, the importance of swimming for physically handicapped individuals and forms of aqua therapy. The practical part is processed by the case reports, which records the life of four children with physical disabilities and their methodology of swimming and aqua therapy. The aim of the practical part is to describe the influence of swimming and aquatherapy in children with physical disabilities, to make contact with the family and to find out basic information about the disease.
